This excellent coffee is brought to us by the UNECAFE co-op located in Oaxaca, Mexico. The co-op was founded in 2011 and over 40% of it’s 2100 member-owners are women. UNECAFE is an acronym for Unidad Ecológica para el Sector Café Oaxaqueño.

This is a fully washed coffee produced by many smallholders at altitudes ranging from 2500-5000 feet above sea level. The coffees grown in this region are: Typica, Criollo, Bourbon, Mundo Novo, and Caturra.

This cup is extremely smooth. You will find a great body with a delectable, heavy chocolate base. Tones of nut and mild citrus are easily detected along with subtle hints of sweetness. This is a delicious “everyday” cup!

Cupping notes: This coffee is heavenly sweet, with a mild orange citric acidity, chocolate, and sugar cane flavor profile. It is very clean and consistent.
